High-Speed Sealing Inspection System Enhances Beverage Production Quality Control

2026/05/13 14:44

As beverage and packaging manufacturers continue to demand higher production efficiency and stricter quality standards, advanced automated inspection solutions are becoming increasingly important. The newly developed Sealing Inspection System provides a reliable and high-speed solution for detecting sealing defects and automatically rejecting unqualified products directly from the production line.

Designed for modern beverage packaging environments, the system supports production speeds of up to 18,000 cans per minute and is compatible with 1L–2L containers, making it suitable for high-capacity manufacturing facilities.

Advanced Non-Contact Sealing Inspection Technology

The Sealing Inspection System adopts a non-contact online inspection method, ensuring that products remain undamaged during the detection process. A high-resolution industrial camera combined with a 360-degree sidewall optical lens captures detailed images of the sealing area for accurate analysis.

During operation, the system first precisely locates the bottle cap position and creates a circular inspection area along the edge of the sidewall image. If poor sealing occurs, visible grayscale variations appear within the inspection region. By analyzing grayscale fluctuations and comparing them with preset threshold values, the system can quickly determine whether the product passes quality standards. Defective products are then automatically rejected from the conveyor line.

This intelligent inspection principle significantly improves detection accuracy while reducing manual inspection costs and production risks.

Designed for High-Speed Production Lines

The inspection system is engineered for continuous industrial operation and can work under various environmental conditions, including:

Operating temperatures from 5°C to 40°C

Relative humidity between 50% and 65% RH

Installation altitudes from 5 to 3000 meters above sea level

The equipment operates with a 220V single-phase power supply and consumes approximately 0.5 kW, helping manufacturers maintain energy-efficient production.

For stable operation, the inspection conveyor should use a single-row chain structure with a total length of 1.8 meters. The bottle neck area within the inspection zone must remain free from vibration and water droplets to ensure optimal camera performance and detection accuracy.

User-Friendly and Modular Design

To simplify operation and maintenance, the system is equipped with a color touchscreen HMI featuring an intuitive interface for parameter adjustment and real-time monitoring.

Additional key advantages include:

Automatic rejection of defective products

Support for future system expansion and upgrades

Low failure rate and simplified maintenance

Stable operation in demanding industrial environments

Dual-side inspection capability for both inkjet codes and QR codes on cartons

The modular architecture allows manufacturers to customize the system according to specific production requirements while maintaining flexibility for future upgrades.

Improving Quality Assurance in Packaging Industries

As production speeds continue to increase in the beverage, food, and packaging industries, automated vision inspection systems are becoming essential for ensuring product integrity and reducing operational costs.

The Sealing Inspection System provides manufacturers with a reliable quality control solution that combines high-speed performance, intelligent image analysis, and automated defect rejection, helping businesses improve production efficiency and maintain consistent packaging quality.
