Online Bottle Finish Inspection Machine Revolutionizes Glass Bottle Quality Control
In a move set to transform glass bottle production, the new Online Bottle Finish Inspection Machine introduces advanced, non-contact machine vision technology to automatically detect deformation and defects at bottle mouths. With a rated capacity of 48,000 bottles per hour, this system is designed to ensure consistent quality and efficiency for beverage, pharmaceutical, and packaging industries.
High-Speed, Accurate Inspection
As bottles move along the production line, a positioning sensor identifies each bottle and records its ID along with encoder signals. The sensor triggers a high-speed CCD camera that captures images of the bottle finish. These images are processed in real time by the system’s image processor, with results displayed on a human–machine interface (HMI). Any defective bottles are automatically identified, and the control unit commands the rejector to remove them from the production line—eliminating manual inspection errors and reducing waste.
Advanced Image Acquisition Technology
The inspection machine features:
LED Area Light Source: Provides consistent illumination with a service life of up to 30,000 hours. Foreground lighting ensures the bottle finish appears as a continuous bright ring, making defects highly visible.
Fixed-Focus Manual Aperture Lens: Optimized for clarity on the CCD sensor, with adjustable aperture for brightness tuning.
High-Speed CCD Camera: 640 × 480 pixels resolution and up to 60 frames per second, ensuring fast and accurate image capture.
Reliable Equipment Performance
Designed for demanding production environments, the machine operates optimally at altitudes of 5–3000 meters, temperatures of 5–40°C, and relative humidity of 50–65%. Noise levels are maintained below 85 dB, depending on container type and factory conditions.
Power and operational requirements include:
Main Power Supply: 3 × 380V AC ±10%, 50 Hz, 3PH+N+PE
Auxiliary Lighting: 220V AC, single-phase
Control Voltage: 24 VDC
Compressed Air: 4–6 bar (provided by customer)
Total Power Consumption: Approximately 1.0 kW
Installation Flexibility
The machine can be installed directly inside the blow molding machine, either at the bottle exit point from the mold or along the conveyor chain, making it highly adaptable to existing production lines.
Ensuring Consistent Quality and Efficiency
By combining high-speed inspection with automated rejection, the Online Bottle Finish Inspection Machine helps manufacturers maintain rigorous quality standards while reducing labor costs and minimizing defective product waste. Its advanced imaging and processing capabilities provide a reliable solution for high-volume PET and PE bottle production.
