System Operating Principle and Process
As a bottle passes the positioning sensor, the sensor detects its presence and the control unit records the bottle ID along with the corresponding encoder value.
The sensor then triggers the camera to capture an image of the bottle finish. Once the image is acquired, it is processed by the image processor. The results are sent both to the human–machine interface (HMI) for real-time visualization and to the control unit, which prepares instructions for rejecting any bottles identified as defective.
When the control unit receives a rejection signal, it activates the rejector to remove the defective bottle corresponding to the recorded ID from the production line.
4.3 Image Acquisition Components
Light Source:
Equipped with a high-performance LED area light source with an expected service life of up to 30,000 hours. Using forward illumination, it provides a clear representation of the measurement object. In the captured image, the bottle finish appears as a continuous bright ring. A fixed-focus manual aperture lens is used; the focus ring is adjusted to ensure the sharpest image on the CCD sensor, while the aperture ring is fine-tuned to achieve optimal brightness.Camera:
Uses an area-array CCD analog camera with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels and a frame capture rate of up to 60 frames per second, ensuring accurate and efficient image acquisition.
