I. Project Equipment Overview
Project Name: PET Bottle Cap, Anti-theft Ring, Liquid Level, and Inkjet Printing Inspection System
Project Description: Automated detection and rejection of PET bottles with defects in caps, anti-theft rings, liquid levels, and inkjet printing quality.

Factory Infrastructure: Floor flatness, load-bearing capacity, and related parameters must meet national standards to ensure stable operation.
Storage Conditions: Upon delivery, equipment and components must be stored per national standards. Proper lubrication and maintenance should be applied during storage to prevent surface damage, deformation, or other issues affecting installation, commissioning, or operation.

Detection Principle:
As a PET bottle passes the positioning sensor, the sensor detects its presence and the control unit records both the bottle ID and encoder signal.
The sensor then triggers the camera to capture images of the cap, liquid level, and inkjet code. The image processor analyzes the captured data and sends the results simultaneously to the HMI (for real-time monitoring) and to the PLC (for rejection preparation).
If a defect is detected, the control unit issues a rejection command, instructing the rejector to remove the identified defective bottle from the production line.

Capping liquid level detection (capping liquid level detection at stations one and three)
This module uses three CCD cameras to capture images of bottles from different angles, reducing blind spots. Special optical lenses filter light from all directions to ensure efficient image acquisition. Its primary function is to detect defective bottles such as missing caps, overhanging caps, crooked caps, and broken caps.
8. Liquid Level Detection
This module employs a CCD camera to capture frontal images of the bottle’s liquid level. It ensures that the liquid surface appears nearly horizontal when the bottle is stationary. Through image processing, the section below the liquid level is displayed in black, while the empty area above appears white. A specialized algorithm is then applied to distinguish whether the liquid level falls below or exceeds the preset standard.
9. Inkjet Printing Inspection
This module utilizes a CCD camera to capture frontal images of inkjet markings on both bottles and caps. The images are digitally processed and analyzed to identify defects, after which bottles with non-compliant prints are automatically rejected. The system supports recognition of multiple color combinations, including black ink on yellow caps and white ink on black caps.
