IV. Detection Principle

A Gigabit Ethernet digital camera captures images of the straws in the paper package. The captured images are digitally analyzed, and paper packages with defective straws are automatically rejected online.

The paper package passes the positioning sensor, which detects the arrival of the Tetra Pak package. The control unit records the package identification number and the current encoder signal. The positioning sensor triggers the digital camera to capture an image of the straws in the paper package and transmits the image to the image processor via the network. The image processor processes and analyzes the received image and transmits the results to both the human-machine interface for dynamic display and the control unit. After receiving the signal indicating a failed straw, the control unit notifies the rejector to remove the paper packages with the corresponding identification number.
